The Favorite Style of AW13: The Kazar Jacket!

Introduced in the Summer collection 2013, I really developed the Kazar Jacket in the Winter collection, playing with silk and wool. Ingeniously reversible with inner and outer ties, you can wear this jacket in 8 different ways! With one side in silk and the other in wool, this jacket will complement all your outfits, being casual over a denim jeans and very classy over a evening dress! This jacket was made as a free size and fits beautifully all shapes. Continue reading « The Favorite Style of AW13: The Kazar Jacket! »

Nathalie – a precious and altruistic friend

NathalieHere are a few words from Nathalie: « I have been working for 20 years in the « retail industry » , as a training project manager for 15 years and sustainable development and quality project manager for 5 years. These experiences gave me the opportunity to observe the changes happening in our consumerism society and in our economic system as a whole.

As we all know, every change brings positive as negative things to one society… Continue reading « Nathalie – a precious and altruistic friend »

Takla Makan on tour! Step 1: Paris and its suburbs

Melissa is in France this fall to introduce her winter collection! First in Paris at the Kalari centre, then in Croissy-sur-Seine, hosted by the Morel family, and last in Fontainebleau, hosted by Dominique Constantin; the exhibitions are going well.
It is always the opportunity to meet outspoken people and exchange around fashion, India and the best cookies recipes!

Naima, an amazing bharat natyam dancer came with us to bring to a close each day of sale!

Here some snapshots of this busy but sunny weekend!

Takla Makan on tour! Step 2: Nantes with Fonds du coeur

Takla Makan was in Nantes for the launching party for the NGO « Fonds du Coeur » (literally « funds from the heart »), created by Nathalie , one of our guardian angels.

Nathalie welcomed us at her place, 2-3 days before the event for a private sale. The atmosphere was joyful and altruistic!
We gave back 15% of each sale to « Fonds du coeur » to support the project. Nevertheless, we would love to be able to do much more, for this incredible project and lady, to whom we owe a lot!

Vente Nantes

Here few lines about this NGO:
loo fonds du coeur
The main project of « Fonds du coeur » is to finance a day care center for Pondichery’s street kids. The center welcomes every day 40 kids aged from 1 to 6 years old.

The Day care center offers a day shelter to these children, who live in though conditions in the streets. The center helps them to grow in a good and safe structure and gives them some hope.
« Fonds du Coeur » supports, by this financial help, the well-settled NGO Sharana Social and Development Organisation, in Pondicherry.

If you wish to support « Fonds du coeur » and Sharana:
– Make a donation for the center
– Become the godfather or godmother of these children with a annual donation of 204€ (meaning 17€/month). The contribution will be equally used for each child’s well-being (medical support, nutrition, pedagogical awareness, psychological support). .

Contact them at fondsducoeur@gmx.com

Thanks for your support!
